# Opentherm

The iQ Opentherm is a gateway device between a Opentherm Thermostat and Opentherm Boiler, it is capable of relaying signals from the Opentherm Thermostat to the boiler and adjust the signals if needed.\
This way the user is capable of controlling the boilers temperature, desired room temperature, receive failures and reset failures and so on.

If no Opentherm Thermostat is present the iQ Opentherm will act as main controller for the Opentherm Boiler.
